Downtown West Bend Association offers many ways to give back to the community through volunteering.
If you would like to be a volunteer, join a committee or become a host group, please fill out the form at the bottom of this page or contact our office for more information.
General volunteer opportunities:
Office Volunteer Assistance: Organizing, filing, phones, marketing fliers, data entry, hanging posters, handing out materials, community outreach, and other talents you can offer.
Assist at the Grand Gallery Open - Artwalk Banner Project
Entertainment at Farmers' Market
Assist at Farmers Market information booth
Provide Education/instructional classes at Farmers Market
Fall Fest - Hand out candy at DWBA Booth
Judge cars at Wheels on Main
Set-up crews - all/any events

Committee Opportunities:
Promotions Committee: This committee helps to guide and influence DWBA events, schedules & new activities throughout the year. To brainstorm and collaborate on new and actively changing events to be best received by the audience. To promote interest and attendance at each event. Key areas of support are logistics, guest experience, entertainment, décor/image, vendors, sponsorships, and volunteers.
ArtWalk Banner Projects Committee: This committee plans the DWBA annual ArtWalk Banner Project & Grand Gallery Open.
Music on Main Committee: This committee helps to plan the DWBA Music on Main event's focus on Entertainment, activities throughout the 14 weeks and volunteerism
Farmers Market Focus Group: This committee helps to plan the DWBA Farmers Market, planning vendor positions, vetting new vendors, educational programing, entertainment and volunteerism
Wheels on Main Committee: This committee helps to plan the Wheels on Main event: visitor experience, judging, planning vendor positions, vetting new vendors, entertainment and volunteerism.

Farmers Market Host Groups:
Set-up and tear down the barricades for the Farmers Market. The organization must be there from 6:15am - 11:30am. (if each person is trained this can be scheduled to different groups within your organization throughout the season).
Groups must obey all the police safety policies.
The organization will get a free stall in a prime location and can do a brat fry, sell bakery, crafts, or just provide information to the guests at the market.
Host organizations receive a $75.00 stipend each week that they Host, this will be paid at the end of each month.
Need 5 -10 or more people
Physical ability to lifting, pull over sized wagons and set-up your tents and area.
1 person each week would have to be in charge.
Each group will have to complete an orientation.
Music on Main:
Set-up and clean-up crew: come at 3:45 help set-up around 30 minutes and return at 9:20pm to clean up depending on the number of people will determine how fast it goes.
$75.00 per week - if you select all 12 weeks your organization will earn $900.00. In the past we have had groups that come and are done in under 30 minutes - under an hour a week. (Orientation Mid May)
Need 6 or more people, Lifting, pulling filled wagons, one person from your group would have to be in charge.
Wheels on Main:
We will be looking for an organization to support us that full day 5am - 5pm.
This organization would: assist in securing the barricades, during the opening of the event they would man the barricades with crime prevention, garbage pick-up, general clean up, information booths & registration.
We would need 15 - 20 people.
